Northvolt has an exciting opportunity for a Master Data Manager to join our passionate team. The scope of the job includes establishing the necessary processes and controls around the flow of data from data creation and acquisition systems, through reporting systems to ensure data quality for the company.

We believe that the ideal candidate has a strong ability to grasp and understand fundamental MDM processes in order to develop and execute the Master Data strategy.

You have the experience to quickly develop strong working relationships with business as well as technology teams. As Master Data Manager you will lead the process for MDM and review new data requests to ensure alignment with the company’s data governance processes.

Travel to various project sites in Västerås, Skellefteå and Poland will be required for learning, requirements gathering, client meetings, engineering support and delivery as required.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interact with all relevant business teams within Northvolt to execute the company’s data strategy; work with various groups to drive data quality, data management and metadata-related projects.

  • Support the implementation of the data management framework; define processes required to make data useful and manage data as an asset.

  • Manage a portfolio of activities across many functions: data governance, data standards and controls, data lineage and metadata management, data quality monitoring and reporting.

  • Understand and support various strategic initiatives related to data management.

  • Comprehend and identify linkages between projects and establish priorities.

  • Support various data governance working groups and management committees; lead as well as manage and escalate issues.

  • Define and assess methodologies, technologies and frameworks for identifying and governing master data projects.

  • Identify and program-manage new master data management initiatives, and drive the delivery of direct, tangible business value.

  • Interface with various business and technical teams within the Norhtvolt IT organization

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Minimum five years of experience working within MDM programs and the processes of mastering data

  • Proven track record of delivering customer-centric master data management across a complex portfolio of stakeholders

  • Understanding of MDM tool suites including configuration (Informatica is a plus)

  • Able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and team work.

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
  • Highly organized and result-driven

About the company

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.
