Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a reliable and experienced Security Coordinator. In joining us you will play an important part in developing and maintaining the physical security and fire protection processes within Northvolt. Northvolt will have a significant role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

The Security Coordinator will be operational and active by coaching and training both employees and contractors within the field of security and fire protection. Another important part will be to support in the establishment of policies and routines that will help to create and maintain a safe and secure workplace.

The Security Coordinator is an important part in the work to create conditions together with all colleagues so we all can comply with health, safety and security regulations and that we follow the best practice in terms of health, safety and security.

As a Security Coordinator at Northvolt you must have the ability to pay attention to details to identify both safety and security related risks.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that all security systems are in place and works properly.
  • Create and train employees on emergency preparedness and response procedures, in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Ensure that all fire and rescue equipment and systems are properly maintained and in operation at all times.
  • Conduct incident investigations.
  • Develop and follow up on the systematic fire protection management.
  • Ensure local routines are in place regarding access control, background checks, security investigations etc.
  • Ensure connections and networks with the Security contractors, Police, Fire Brigade, and other rescue and security services are established and maintained.
  • Being an important part of the local emergency preparedness and response team.

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree within the area of security, fire safety or emergency management or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in leading others, and to act as a leader even without subordinates.
  • 3+ years of experience within security and/or fire protection services, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Good knowledge of and experience from technical fire- and security systems.

  • Curious, technically educated and with a strong business background.

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Good English written and oral skills, Swedish is a must.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Excellent educational skills.

  • Has a can do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Have a passion for operational work.

  • Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management.

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.
