This is Omni Next

We’ve challenged the Swedish news media since the launch of our first news app – Omni – six years ago. Today, we have three more products, and over half a million people use them every week.

We’ve written our apps in Swift and Kotlin, of course, and our API is JavaScript with a dash of ramda. Safe to say that we care about good code, then, and giving our users a really great news experience.

We’re a tight-knit team of 8 engineers, 2 product managers, and 2 designers, and we want you to be a part of it, too!

The missing link that we're looking for

We’ve built some really great apps, but our websites have not received the tender loving care that they deserve. That’s about to change: Over half of our users visit our websites every week, and they’re a big part of our strategy and our future. Our focus for 2020 is to reach even more people, and to experiment more, and – as we’re sure you’ll agree – the web is a great platform for that!

That's why we’re looking for someone who would love to build some really wonderful websites with us, and who doesn’t mind working with the back-end, too. You’ll notice that we haven’t said which framework things need to be in, and that’s because we want you to be a big part in deciding that with us. We’re all people who fall in love with problems, not solutions, and we hope you are too.

Sounds good? Then we’d like to hear from you! Please send us your application and we’ll start by just getting to know each other.

About the company

Omni was launched in 2013, and it's operated as an independent company in Schibsted Media Group. For our readers, Omni is a new way to experience the news, and it has fast become Sweden's fifth largest news service. Maybe you use us, too?
