Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a System Analyst (Logistics) to join our passionate team in Stockholm.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

The System Analyst will be in charge of the technical elements of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and a Transport Management System (TMS) implementation.

You will be in charge of setting up and executing the long term WMS & TMS solution reporting to the Manager: Factory and Logistics Systems.

You will be working intimately with the logistics, process and automation teams. Our aim is to improve logistics efficiencies.

In general you have experience in the field and have been driving large, innovative and challenging logistics projects with high demands on IT.

Specifically, you have a deep understanding of working with a WMS and a TMS as well as logistical processes in warehouses, 3PL's and transport.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Transform user requests or requirements into technical design specification
  • Act as a liaison between business clients, IT professionals and technology vendors.
  • Figure out how to solve a problem by linking different computers or systems and to specify what platform, protocols, software, hardware and communications medium can be used to solve any logistical issue.
  • Communicate with customers and stakeholders to learn and document requirements in order to create a technical specification.
  • Interact and coordinate with developers and implementers.
  • Help perform system testing.
  • Deploy the system.
  • Help with technical documentation like manuals.
  • Deliberate over post-project assessment.

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • A degree in Computer Science/MSc or MBA/Relevant University Degree
  • 5+ years working experience as a System Analyst.
  • Track record of successful system implementations
  • Successful track record of scaling WMS & TMS solutions in a fast growing environment
  • Preferable knowledge of warehouse and transport distribution processes
  • Track record of successful system development achievement
  • Knowledge of ERP systems for planning and order management

  • Knowledge of integration between WMS and ERP systems

  • Technology proficient in C++, C#/.Net, WPF/XAML, WCF, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, WinForms

  • Knowledge of Web Services integration (REST, WSDL/SOAP, XML, JSON)

  • Knowledge of database engines (Oracle, MSSQL)

  • Knowledge of source control (TFS)

  • User Experience (UX) design/awareness nice to have for electronic work instructions or SOP's.

  • Curious, technically educated and with a strong business background

  • Must have worked in multi-cultural environment
  • Experience and interest in manufacturing industry is a plus

About the company

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.
