Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Project Finance Analyst to join our stellar team in Stockholm.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

The person will be managing activities related to Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå from a project financing and controlling point of view. You will support and work closely with the project and finance team and ensure project delivery. You will be working intimately with the Project and operations team.

In General you have some working experience, preferably in a related position either within controlling or other finance related role.
Specifically, you have a deep understanding of working in a fast paced organisation with large and complex projects experience from complex funding structures is a plus.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • You will be working with Project Controlling for Northvolt Ett, with a large focus on managing the financing aspects of the project.
  • You will prepare and follow up on the monthly debt draw downs.
  • You will manage covenants and overall undertakings of the loan agreement
  • You will prepare together with the rest of the project controlling team the liquidity forecasting for the project and ensuring timely preparation of all draw down reporting to our lenders
  • Assisting finance team with hedging follow up and entering in to new hedges
  • You will define ways to measure and report on key milestones and other indicators.
  • You will create tools for management to measure their business
  • You will assist in preparing the monthly reports to the Lenders and Board of Directors.

  • You will assist the overall project team with ad hoc requests and analysis including financial modeling (mainly in excel).

  • You will be a key link between the commercial and financial side of the business.

  • You will help develop and ensure adherence to our processes.

The project finance analyst will be based in Stockholm or Skellefteå and will report to the Business Control Director of Northvolt Ett.

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, MBA is a plus
  • 2+ years working experience in finance or controlling, preferably with some experience from project finance.
  • Experience from working in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • A strong understanding of Financial systems & their impact on the Commercial P&L & KPIs together with a practical appreciation of how they can best be deployed by Commercial teams as an enabler.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional project teams.
  • Confident and able to build strong and challenging working relations with Commercial teams.
  • Curious, technically educated and with a strong business focus
  • Must have worked in multi-cultural environment
  • Experience and interest in manufacturing industry is a plus
