Meltwater builds digital intelligence and marketing solutions for a global client base. Our teams in and around Europe deliver value to our customers building the Fairhair.ai Platform.

Fairhair.ai is the comprehensive platform that powers Meltwater, the world’s leading media intelligence suite. Access to our structured data allows your organization to derive insights, enabling more context-driven business decisions — from due diligence to risk analysis and more.

That’s where the Core Platform team in Reading comes in. We focus on delivering the core of the Fairhair.ai Platform. This involves creating and managing the Fairhair.ai API entry point, the data processing pipelines, all the tools and all the management services required for operation. These pipelines are processing a couple of billion messages every day ranging from large editorial documents to small messages such as tweets and comments on blog posts. This massive variety of document types give us tough and interesting challenges. As our platform capabilities expand we need more people in the team to take on these new and unique challenges with us.

Our components that orchestrate the processing of these messages are written in Golang. Therefore this role needs experience with Golang.

Our team make use of Kafka for our persistent message queues and for giving teams around the organisation access to the data that we have ingested, mapped, enriched, tagged and filtered. There is a variety of supporting tools and services that we use such as Drone, Logstash, Grafana, Prometheus, Graphite, Statsd, Docker, Kubernetes, MySQL and Git.

The Core Platform team are based in the Reading office in Berkshire, UK. Working from our London office is available too, but will require at least 1 day a week in the Reading office.
