Northvolt is looking for a Testing intern to join the Northvolt Battery Systems department. As a part of our endeavour to make excellent products, we need people like you to push our batteries to the limit.

You will work with our testing team on different testing projects. One of your major tasks will be to evaluate the data of our tests but also to support the tests either in-house or at 3 party. Built on this, you will get the opportunity to manage our own project.

A word of caution, safety is paramount at Northvolt. You will need a strong safety awareness to keep the damage limited to the tested product. Our test engineers have survived to this day and we want to keep it that way.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate and analyze test results and process them in an understandable way
  • Support performance and abusive tests
  • Learn new test methods, generate a greater understanding on theoretical background on theoretical background and spread your gained knowledge in the company
  • Propose design improvements to ensure our products and your pleasure lasts longer next time

The Testing intern is a vital member of the Testing, Safety and Certification team. You will work with the most talented engineers that will help you to realize your full potential. Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Basic knowledge on data analysis, programming with Python or Matlab
  • High degree on initiative and eagerness to learn
  • Experience with lithium-ion batteries is a plus
  • Experience in multi-cultural environment is a plus

About the company

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.
