Senior Game Artist (Battle Studio)

Are you an awesome artist, passionate about making commercially successful games and creating the very best art to delight players? Great! We at the Battle Studio are looking for a talented 2D Game Artist to help us with current and upcoming titles.

The Battle Studio is focused on cutting-edge mid-core games. Be part of a senior team with a flat hierarchy and high ambitions where strong ideas, collaboration and commitment shine above all.

You’ll be working closely with the Art Director to create high production value game assets for our games. We’re looking for a “generalist” who will explore a wide range of ideas as we develop our games full of appealing characters and beautiful environments.

Skills & Requirements

You’ll fit in our flock if you have:

  • Expertise in creating high quality 2D game assets, which are consistent in visual style, optimized, and integration friendly
  • Strong draftsmanship in visual design, color, and composition
  • Proficiency with Unity game engine
  • Ability to make mobile game VFX using Unity Particle System
  • Skilled with After Effects or any other motion tool to be able to demonstrate gameflow, tutorial system and similar mockups
  • Capable of animating game assets using Spine
  • Solid efficiency of working in a Game team (understanding vision and expectations of the Designer, translation of Concept Artists’ ideas into engine friendly visuals, supporting programmers to complete the features)
  • Interest in games, latest design trends, and pop culture
  • Great communication, organisational and team collaboration skills
  • Experience on published games
  • Fluency in English
  • An attitude to challenge conventions and embrace our fierce and brave battle spirit

We’d love you to have these feathers in your cap:

  • 5+ years of experience in the games industry
  • Basic knowledge of sculpting and 3D applications
  • Understanding of animation principles
  • Basic sensibilities of iconography, typography, UI/UX
