Do you want to make a difference? So do we, and we are now looking for a QS (Quality & Sustainability) Manager to help us take the next steps.

The QS manager’s position is vital for the overall sustainability strategy and work with LYRECO Quality- and Environmental Management systems, certified in accordance to ISO 9001 & ISO 14001.

The position is based in our Denmark office in Roskilde, but travels, mainly within Scandinavia, are needed to be successful in the role.

This position plays a key role in implementing the actions required to reach set sustainability objectives why the reference is also to a senior management member.

Five major missions:

  • Ensure compliance to the ISO standards ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
  • Ensure compliance with related environmental legislation and market expectations related to sustainability matters
  • Support the organisation to reach set sustainability objectives
  • Lead and support risk management related to quality, environmental & social compliance
  • Support the organisation in it´s strive to continuously improve, and share best practices with the Lyreco QS community, customers and related networks

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implement Group Sustainability strategy locally
  • Collect, analyse and follow up on quality and environmental data
  • Support the decision of annual sustainability objectives
  • Facilitate management reviews with the Senior management team
  • Plan, execute and follow up on internal audits
  • Facilitate ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 certification and surveillance audits and audits performed by customers
  • Facilitate Supplier Sustainability assessments
  • Managing the implementation of Q&S improvement initiatives across departments and all 3 countries
  • Ensure knowledge and understanding of LYRECO sustainability strategy and programs across departments and countries in LYRECO Scandinavia
  • Facilitate necessary training and communication related to environmental legislations internally
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners in order to continuously improve our environmental impact
  • Participate in networks, where Lyreco is a member and sustainability is the main agenda

Skills & Requirements


  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Fluent in at least one Scandinavian language and English
  • Structured
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Ability to listen and engage in dialogue with every level of hierarchy
  • Training ability to a diverse audience

Desirable knowledge and profile:

As QS Manager, you have a natural interest in sustainability matters, and the ability to engage effectively stakeholders across all levels of the organization, as well as customers and suppliers.

With well-developed communication skills, you will have the ability to influence internal and external partners, and you are able to translate numbers and data to tangible information, in variable formats depending on your audience.

  • Good knowledge of the expectations of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 is a must
  • Experience from building and/or working with management systems and/or Social compliance matters
  • Experience from working with environmental and social compliance matters in supply chains
  • Experience from working with risk analyses and internal audits
  • Lead auditor of Q- and/or E- management system is an advantage

  • Basic knowledge of Environmental legislations in one or more Nordic countries

  • Experience from working with Nordic and European eco labels is an advantage

  • Knowledge of UN Guiding Principles of Businesses and Human rights, is a plus
