Sales Solutions Engineer

We are looking for a Sales Solutions Engineer to join our Sales Team. Applications are more than welcome. Our Talent Acquisition team will, however, get back to you at the end of summer.

As a Sales Solutions Engineer, you will actively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working together with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate. Using technical creativity and business acumen, you will illustrate the value that Mentimeter as a product can provide.

To succeed in the role, you must be able to engage and articulate product positioning to both business and technical users in competitive scenarios. You will also rapidly identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.

This role includes being the go-to person for both sales and product teams with tasks such as Q&A, technical troubleshooting and investigation, configuration, set up and maintenance of integrations and also to some extent development work (e.g. scripting and SQL queries to get important data from a database).

As a Sales Solutions Engineer, you will use your technical knowledge along with your interpersonal skills to provide advice and support for Mentimeter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Account Executives and Relationship Managers to achieve defined sales goals with technical expertise and ownership of the technical aspects of the customer engagements.
  • Lead efforts to ensure the delivery of all technical resources into the sales process is successful.
  • SSO-implementation, testing and debugging.
  • Assist in the production of Security Assessments/Reviews and other proposals to and from potential customers.
  • Propose technical and creative business solutions in support of sales activities.
  • Identify and ensure we produce the necessary reports, documents and proof of concepts to support the sales-process.
  • Present technical and business aspects of proposed solutions to key stakeholders on the customer side.
  • Work with colleagues across the organization to receive the support needed to accomplish the technical goals and implementations as well as developing the security processes together with the Security Officer at Mentimeter.
  • Communicate to the Mentimeter team what customers are requiring from us in order to continue developing a great platform.
  • Ability to travel (~5-10%)

Not included in this role:

  • Application development.
  • Customer customization of product and integrations with customers requests.

Skills & Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Business Management, Computer Science or equivalent work/professional proficiency.
  • 3-5 years as a successful Pre-Sales Engineer or 3-5 years in a Professional Services/Consulting role that is client facing and involves sales scenarios.
  • Ability to thrive in a unique culture where thinking outside of the box is required daily and creative input is necessary to solve business problems.
  • Ability to be self going and proactive towards the needs of the sales team.
  • Technical depth to be able to respond to all functional and technical elements of Security Reviews, Assessments as well as Data Processing Agreements and all other technical documentation or specifications to move the sales process forward.
  • Proven success coordinating customer requirements to the Product team.
  • Single Sign-On solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer interaction, requirements analysis, presentations, and system design.
