Service Manager Video Conference

As a Service Manager for the Video Conference service you are responsible for the development and delivery of Schibsted Video Conference solutions, including AV for the rooms, bridge solutions and signage. The service also includes various Digital Workplace solutions such as sensors in rooms, booking panels, etc. that are related to improve the user experience when using Video Conference solutions.

The Service Manager is also responsible to develop the system, monitor and measure the adoption and satisfaction of the different systems and propose changes to increase both. Including life cycle management and termination of relevant systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business stakeholder management.
  • Define and develop strategy and roadmap for the services.
  • Ensure alignment with the broader technology and enterprise strategy plans.
  • Build long-term capabilities that ensure scalable solutions with agile architecture and high quality code.
  • Work with User Services services to ensure user experience is consistent across Schibsted.
  • Develop and control the annual operating and capital expenditure budget for the service.
  • Maintain currency on new technologies and best practices related to the application management domain, as well as provide direction on what emerging technologies and methods should be introduced, integrated and assimilated to support Schibsted’s strategy and business needs.

Skills & Requirements

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience in IT and software development.
  • Two years of experience from working with application management.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education is a plus.
  • Fluent in English.

Qualities:

  • You have a superior, service-oriented approach to application and service delivery.
  • Strong strategic capability and the will to stay on top of market development and new technology.
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role.
  • Experience in budget planning and financial management.
  • Success in leveraging both traditional practices, such as software integration and implementation, as well as emerging methods, such as experimental product development, that are optimized for agility.
  • Strong vendor management and partner relation skills to identify and leverage resources both internal and external to the enterprise in order to enhance capabilities that support business objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to senior leaders, and business concepts.
  • This role requires flexibility for travel.
