Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) in Schibsted encompasses a wide range of shared services devoted to making scalable, reliable, and trustworthy products and services for the wider company. To do this, SRE builds and maintains internal platforms, and also contracts and provides internal support for centralised 3rd party services.
At SRE in Schibsted, we pride ourselves on enabling teams to gather data, visualise and analyse the information, and make data driven decisions. We support the pillars of modern observability: Metrics, Logging, and Distributed Tracing; as well as incident management - supporting teams throughout Schibsted when things go wrong.
We are looking for an engineer to join the existing SRE team in Oslo, where you will work with other full-stack engineers who design, build and support systems and services that underpin the production platforms of internal customers.
Note that we support production systems and services to high SLOs (Service Level Objectives) and as such, there is an on-call component to this role. However, part of our commitment to reliable, scaleable, services is that the number of pages received by on call engineers is minimised.
You will be based in the FINN offices in Oslo, and although the work will be international, we have excellent support for remote working, video conferencing, etc. As such, there is no requirement for travel.
However, we do have international offices, and if you feel travel to Stockholm or other tech hubs might expedite project delivery, that option may be available to you, at your discretion.
