Sogeti are looking for a Manual Tester with 3+ years’ experience. The role will involve working closely with development and business teams to develop, design and execute test cases.
The candidate should have good experience of working in teams, with experience of one or more testing methodologies and exposure to different software development lifecycles ideally including Agile experience.
The ideal candidate will be expected to gain a deep understanding of the application and domain under test, helping to provide innovative solutions to testing.
A minimum of 3 year’s software testing experience on IT projects
Experience in test case development and execution ensuring traceability to requirements
Experience of triaging and managing defects to closure within the defect management lifecycle
Experience in reporting test metrics on execution and defects to the Test Lead
The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
A third level qualification in computing, engineering or science with significant computing content
All aspects of testing from test design to test execution
Preparation and execution of test cases to ensure thorough testing of requirements
Working with the business teams to ensure all requirements are tested
Operational and practical experience of application testing preferably including knowledge of:
SDLC, Agile lifecycle
Test management tools e.g. JIRA, HP QC
Test automation tools e.g. Selenium
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
