We are now looking for a new colleague to join our team in Istanbul, Turkey. Business Sweden has been active in Turkey since 1991. Today, Business Sweden in Istanbul consist of a team with broad knowledge of the Turkish market and a strong network in areas such as energy, health, transport, telecommunications and retail sectors. Business Sweden in Istanbul assists on average 100 Swedish companies per year with services and advice in the Turkish market.

What do we expect from you?

As a Senior Business Consultant, you will work in a vibrant environment where you will lead and deliver projects that will provide support to Swedish companies in their international business development and global expansion. We are looking for a person who has an exceptional drive and a can-do mindset, as projects vary from high-level market analysis and strategy development to facilitating and participating in hands-on business meetings between Swedish clients and local customers or partners.

An important part of your job will be initiation of sales to existing Swedish companies or potential subsidiaries located in Turkey. Tasks will include identifying new business opportunities, as well as prospecting, contacting new potential clients, setting up and participating in sales meetings, and participating in developing a suggested solution and closing the deal.

We already have a strong team in place, and we set the bar high for applicants’ aptitude in analysing market drivers, interacting with senior corporate and political leaders, and managing the sometimes complex local business landscape.

Skills & Requirements

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a higher academic degree, probably a Master of Science in Business, Administration or/and Engineering.
  • We believe you have a background as a management consultant and have relevant working experience for at least 4-6 years.
  • You have experience in conducting successful sales of services and enjoy sales challenges.
  • You have the ability to interact with both government and private sector stakeholders.
  • You are self-going, driven and you make things happen.
  • You are business-focused, result-oriented and adaptable.
  • Social and team-working skills are highly valued as well as passion for and ability to handle new challenges.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is a requirement.
  • Language skills in Turkish or Swedish, or most preferrably a combination of the two, are of advantage.
  • Experience from working, living or studying in Turkey is an advantage.
