The Marketing team at Meltwater directly contributes to the business by engaging with existing clients and prospects to convert them as leads to generate sales. Supporting a fast growing team of media experts, we are constantly on the lookout for the latest trends and updates, staying ahead of the game and pushing boundaries. Our day to day includes not only connecting with the sales teams, but also data analysis and creating deliverables, help build engagement with our clients through content and offline events.

About Marketing Manager

As the marketing lead for Greater China, you will lead a small team to run our customer-facing marketing efforts in Greater China. You will lead the marketing programs and partner with our China leadership team to drive consideration and create demand for our product/ solution among potential and current clients. You will be focused on influencing the customer journey, including: conducting audience research for Marketing, PR and business decision makers, crafting messaging and positioning for this audience, and driving customer-oriented programs. You will be a critical driver for initiatives that highlight the wins of our best customers to inspire others, including customer advocacy programs, case studies, customer references, and customer education. You will partner with centralized teams, including product marketing, digital marketing and design team to tailor initiatives in market. The ideal candidate has a passion for AI driven media intelligence, exceptional communication skills with an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to quickly grasp technology concepts, solid knowledge and experiences in using marketing tools, public relations and digital marketing campaign development and execution.

What you will be doing?

  • Use customer marketing to create value: You will directly benefit sales and marketing teams by increasing customer advocacy (including referrals, testimonials, references, etc.), identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, and increasing loyalty and retention.
  • Act as a bridge between Meltwater and our customers: Serve as a liaison between customers and the rest of the organization to help create an incredible customer experience and reach our business goals.
  • Elevate the Meltwater brand name by generating social exposure, media coverage, develop content for social media channels and local blog..etc
  • Conduct audience research to define target personas
  • Craft messaging and positioning for customer-facing efforts
  • Drive narratives, competitive intelligence, and market research, in partnership with in-market sales leadership
  • Lead demand generation program and account-based marketing campaigns eg. email campaigns, participating in events and hosting webinars
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to source (or produce) content and educational material that builds awareness of Meltwater capabilities and accelerates the sales process in China
  • Report results, track performance, and identify optimisation opportunities
  • Expand our distribution footprint beyond owned channels like blog, email, and social through testing and experimentation
  • Define a region-specific marketing and communications plan based on the overall company marketing strategy.
  • Optimize each marketing touchpoint using data, including top-of-funnel channels like social media and blogging, middle-of-funnel channels like email nurturing, and bottom-of-funnel activities with sales teammates.
  • Plan and host events (both online and in-person) to deepen relationships with customers and attract local prospects.
  • Support overall marketing team goals and programs, ensuring their success in your region.

Skills & Requirements

We would love to see…

  • Bachelor’s degree, with emphasis on communications, marketing, and/or business is a plus
  • Proven track-record of success in partnering with Sales for common goals
  • Results-driven, Self-motivated, organized, proactive, collaborative
  • 3-6 years of experience in strategic marketing and public relations, with a focus on demand generation, database marketing, content marketing or marketing programs
  • ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive, data-driven marketing plans
  • ability to synthesize complex ideas into actionable recommendations for senior executives
  • Able to analyze the marketing funnel through data, identify and size different growth opportunities and the various ways to meet them
  • Fluent in both oral and written Mandarin and English
  • Strong abilities in digital marketing tactics with experience organizing events, workshops, conferences
  • Strong relationship management skills and thrive in customer-facing opportunities
  • Great attention to detail and project management skills. This role requires balancing several initiatives together
  • Innovative, curious, constantly seeking new ideas, news ways of doing things, up to date on the latest marketing trends
