Electric power will replace the combustion engine in automotive and industrial applications. The electricity grid needs energy storage to handle higher power and the intermittent nature of sustainable energy. The corded and already cordless portable appliances have an ever-increasing need for better and cheaper batteries too. Li-Ion batteries and battery systems are key to this future and there are plenty of new ideas, improvements, great research and development on the horizon.

Key to Northvolt’s success is finding opportunities and synergies between the various market segment and customer needs, together with learnings from how end users actually use battery powered products in the field. We are looking for a Battery Product Manager to articulate Northvolt’s battery cell and systems portfolio across all industries and applications.

Internally you balance technical roadmaps, production costs, performance and life time tradeoffs. Targeting market opportunities, you translate this into a competitive product strategy and align with research & development, industrialization, production, sourcing, connectivity and other central teams and processes.

In order to continuously evaluate and further develop our product and services portfolio, you are also involved in market activities, attend and speak at customer and industry meetings and conferences, drive internal forums and more.

The rolerequires very good technical and strategic commercial understanding, as well as the ability to clearly communicate why and what we should prioritize to management as well as engineering teams.

You will be part of the Business Development team and report to our Chief Business Development Officer.

You will be based in Stockholm, Sweden and regularly travel to our customers throughout Europe.
