Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Logistics Development Manager to join our excellent and passionate team at Northvolt in Stockholm.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start, building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play a significant role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

Logistics Development Manager will focus on conceptualising, designing and building logistical framework for Northvolt operations across its entire geography. Together with colleagues: Logistics Procurement, Developers and Co-ordinators, you will partake in purchasing activities, as well as secure processes and resources necessary for operational deployment and execution.

Our journey starts in Västerås, Sweden with Northvolt Labs going live very soon, while the giga-factory Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå, Sweden is already in construction phase and logistical set-ups are being drafted as we speak. As key player in the Logistics Team you will have the opportunity to design and build sustainable logistical solutions from scratch, both for Northvolt’s operations in Sweden, as well as beyond. You will be based in Stockholm at Northvolt’s head office and report to Director of Logistics.

In broad terms, Team Logistics is responsible for everything that moves. Our mission is to support Northvolt’s growth and expansion with logistical expertise and to create a robust logistical framework, within which Northvolt units can operate.

Generally speaking, you have substantial experience in the field of logistics and excellent understanding of end to end supply chain. You have been active across multiple transportation modes (road, rail , sea and air), engaged with direct material suppliers, worked with inventory and warehousing - both in-house, as well as 3PL-operated.

You have worked with logistics for global sourcing, but your professional home is Europe. You have been driving or have been engaged in greenfield or brownfield projects, where logistical solutions, routes and networks were built from the ground up or heavily re-designed.

In your life you have also tackled the topic of return logistics with all of its challenges, especially when it comes to Dangerous Goods.

Ideally you are very familiar with the requirements of automotive industry, having run logistics for an OEM or a 1-st tier supplier.

Ensuring optimal level of service at the right cost and with minimum possible burden for the environment, in your job you will:

  • Design and build end-to-end logistics, connecting Northvolt's suppliers, factories and customers
  • Design and build Northvolt return logistics (recycled waste as well as battery cells)
  • Support Logistics Developers and Co-ordinators in developing processes, Standard Operations Procedures and Service Level Agreements
  • Provide input and support in development of the KPI dashboard
  • Continuously improve overall Northvolt logistical operations
