Logistics Business Analyst

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Logistics Business Analyst to join our excellent and passionate team. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start, building first large scale European lithium ion battery factories. Northvolt will play a significant role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

Logistics Business Analyst's primary focus will be on setting up the system of commercial and operational metrics across the Northvolt landscape. The role will be of pivotal importance in ensuring successful logistical execution at optimal cost.

As a key player in the Logistics Team you will have the opportunity to build and procure sustainable logistical solutions from scratch, both for Northvolt’s operations in Sweden as well as beyond. You will be based in Stockholm at Northvolt’s head office and report to Bartek Borczyński, Director of Logistics.

In broad terms, team Logistics is responsible for everything that moves outside Northvolt factories' walls. Our mission is to support Northvolt’s growth and expansion with logistical expertise and to create a robust logistical framework, within which Northvolt units can operate


Generally speaking, you have a reasonable degree of experience within business analysis within or alongside a logistical operation. You have built, enhanced, automated or maintained KPIs dashboards, performance and cost control systems and other follow-ups of commercial or operational nature. You understand the importance of data and facts being the base for correct decision taking, ensuring successful execution at the right cost.

You will take a central position in establishing and running the process of cost and performance control and analysis. In co-operation with the Logistics Team you will build and implement a portfolio of appropriate Key Performance Indicators relevant to different stages of Northvolt's supply chain.

Your assignments will go beyond the crunching numbers as you will be supporting the colleagues across all locations in planning, design and procurement of logistical solutions.

To start off, in your job you will:

  • have the responsibility to build and maintain cost control mechanisms and operational performance KPI dashboards
  • actively participate in the ERP/TMS roll-out, in the areas of cost and performance metrics
  • support your colleagues with data analysis and business intelligence both in the area of commercial activities (RFQs, tenders, costing projects), as well operational performance follow up (on time in full metrics, etc.)
  • be the Logistics' key point of contact for the Finance department
  • continuously use data to improve Northvolt operations

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in logistics or business related field

  • 5+ years of experience within supply chain, 3+ in business analyst role, or similar

  • High on logic

  • Good understanding of logistical operation, its impact on manufacturing and the impact of its different elements on cost

  • Strong communication skills. Ability to translate data into operational or commercial guidelines. Excellent English

  • Excellent skill in MS Excel and experience with using BI tools (e.g. Power BI)

  • Experience with ERP's cost and performance dashboards. Familiarity with MS Dynamics seen as an advantage

  • Problem-solving, entrepreneurial attitude thriving in a dynamic environment where no day is like the other (we mean it!)

  • Self-motivated and finding it easy to establish new relationships

  • You have worked in a multi-cultural environment

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy.
