Core News Product (CNP) is Schibsted Media's common publishing product platform.
CNP Web is building the common web platform that soon will be the foundation for all of Schibsted's publications. It's an audacious and fun project with good velocity and high impact.
In CNP web you'll get to work with an engaged and highly skilled team of engineers, and you're placed squarely in the epicentre of the collaboration culture we're building between our diverse product- and tech teams.
The CNP web team is building a decoration API that powers the web and app front-ends, as well as the web front-end itself. Together with the tech leads, your responsibility is to make sure that as much business logic as possible can be shared between native apps and web, make sure that our publications' web pages perform at their full potential while giving our web developers the tools they need to innovate and collaborate.
You need to work closely with brands, advertising- and consumer business departments, and make sure the platform enables us to experiment, collaborate and learn from each other.
We’re looking for an engineering manager to lead the 10+ engineers in the Web team distributed over Stockholm, Krakow and Oslo. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that the people you support grow while driving engineering excellence and ensuring teams are delivering high-value results.
CNP is a distributed team, and you should have some experience working in or managing distributed teams. Some travelling is required to meet members of your distributed team and stakeholders face to face.
