Production Manager - Poland

Northvolt is establishing its first facility to industrialize and produce battery systems. In order to meet the increased demand for complete battery solutions on the European market, we are establishing a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions in Gdansk, Poland.

We are now seeking to recruit a Production Manager to join our Operations team. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure health and safety compliance working environment, efficient and cost-effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs and proper productivity level).

  • Responsible for running the company to achieve and surpass profitability, cash flow and production and other business goals and objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Dedication to building and growing a strong and stable workforce.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills, including the ability to recognize and cultivate rising talents.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, policies, processes, and staff.
  • Experience from greenfield projects is valuable but not must.

Skills & Requirements

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electric, electronics, or electro mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and budget execution.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Understanding of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
  • Entrepreneur, team builder, able to assess and handle risks.
  • Fluent English and Polish.

About the company

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration.
