You will interface with our IT team and Quality team to develop and implement the CM tools, and how they tie up with other critical company tools.

You will also set up all the necessary processes, then train the teams so that everyone follows the rules and have access to the latest information.

Key responsibilities:

The Configuration Manager owns the product lifecycle management, change management and documentation management activities. You define then implement the right processes on both a long-term and a short-term basis.

  • Define and drive the change management process, so that the Northvolt Battery Systems products keep their integrity over time
  • Define and drive the document management of the Northvolt’s Battery Systems department; set up standard document types
  • Define and drive the Northvolt Battery Systems product development process together with the Systems Engineering team and Quality team, including definition of prototype stages and required documentation for each stage.
  • Support the team throughout the implementation of the processes, through follow-ups and trainings, particularly within the Engineering and Project Management teams
  • Ensure that the Northvolt Battery Systems product’s different revisions and configurations are following a defined methodology and are manageable for future product development and customer projects
  • Ensure a good structure and infrastructure of the product design documents, e.g. BOM, 3D data and drawings, and availability of the right information at the right version level for the wider organization
  • Ensure that the design and documentation release of Northvolt Battery Systems products is handled seamlessly
  • Ensure a good interface at all time of the PLM with the ERP and our CAD systems and propose and implement improvements to the CM system
