  • €4,800 - €5,500

Are you an electrical engineer who wants to be the one who decides how an automation system is built, not just the one who draws it?

This role is built for engineers who want to own the electrical side of a project from the first customer conversation to the final sign-off. You define the system architecture, size and specify the components, design the solution in Eplan, and then follow it through the build: reviewing the installation in our own Vantaa facility and, when the system is ready, supporting commissioning on site.

You will work side by side with a tight-knit automation team of PLC engineers, mechanical designers and installers. They build and program what you design, and you stay close enough to the shop floor to see how your design performs in practice. Our projects live under Etteplan's delivery umbrella, so you get the engineering depth of a large organization together with the full weight and satisfaction of an end-to-end project.

If you have years of industrial electrical design behind you, know Eplan inside out, and want technical leadership without leaving hands-on engineering, this is the seat for you. Each project brings something new: PLCs, robotics, AMRs and data systems integrated into complete customer solutions.

Deep expertise, genuine ownership, and the kind of variety that keeps the work interesting. That is what we are offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the electrical and automation system architecture together with customers and the project team
  • Lead the electrical design of automation systems in Eplan, and maintain Eplan standards, macros and templates
  • Integrate PLCs, drives, robots, AMRs, safety and network devices into complete solutions
  • Specify components with suppliers and size the system: power, protection, cabling and cabinet thermal design
  • Supervise installation and wiring in our Vantaa facility and on customer sites, and support FAT, commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Ensure standards compliance and documentation (e.g. SFS-EN IEC 60204-1, IEC 61439, EMC), and guide and review the work of other electrical designers

What We Expect from You

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. (or equivalent) in electrical engineering or automation
  • Solid experience (typically 8+ years) of electrical design for industrial automation, machinery or production lines
  • Deep Eplan expertise; Pro Panel and macro automation are a plus
  • Experience in system architecture and electrical sizing, and good understanding of PLC systems (Siemens, Beckhoff or B&R) and industrial networks
  • Hands-on understanding of installation work: you can read a cabinet on the shop floor and find the fault
  • Leadership attitude: ability to guide others and make well-founded technical decisions
  • Interest in robotics, AMRs and simulation is a plus
  • Fluency in English and Finnish
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and ability to work regularly on site in Vantaa

This is a permanent, full-time position. Applicants must have valid authorization to work in Finland. Please note that Etteplan does not provide relocation support or compensation.

At Etteplan we ensure that your compensation is fair and transparent. Your salary reflects your competencies and contributions. For this role, the typical monthly salary is 4800–5500 €/month, depending on your background.

Sounds like the right opportunity for you? Please submit your application through our recruitment system by end of November at the latest.
