Job Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for the company's accounting operations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Preparation of financial reports in accordance with Czech and Slovak accounting standards.
- Review and reconciliation of balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.
- Review of VAT returns, VAT control statements, and EC sales lists.
- Cooperation with tax advisors in the preparation of corporate income tax returns.
- Resolution of complex accounting issues and methodological support for other accountants.
- Communication with auditors, tax advisors, and government authorities.
- Support in the implementation of new processes and systems.
- Ensuring compliance of accounting processes with internal controls and company policies.
- Active participation in accounting process automation and digitalization projects.
- Leading and supporting the accounting team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in comprehensive accounting for commercial companies.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and explain their business impact.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a proactive and independent approach.
- Willingness to take ownership, actively seek information, and ask questions when clarification is needed.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with management and other departments.
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively.
- Previous team leadership experience is an advantage.
- English proficiency at a minimum B2 level.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage but not required.
- Experience with taxation and participation in audits is an advantage.

-We are founded in 1992.
-We introduced our iconic green reusable plastic crates (RPCs) in the 90's, which became a staple in the transportation and storage of fresh produce across Europe.
-In the mid-2000s, we implemented RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology to track and trace our RPCs more efficiently.
-In 2021 we started using the first recycled folding trays.
-We’ve got over 70 service centres all over Europe – you can find us in most countries. So, wherever you are in Europe, our efficient network has got you covered.
-Through new technologies and knowledge, we were able to lower our washing temperature in 2022 which resulted in significant reduction of between 47% and 52% in our gas consumption.
-In 2017 we agreed that we want to reduce our carbon footprint by 20% by 2025 by implementing several improvement projects.
