We're looking for an iOS Developer who enjoys taking ownership, solving interesting technical challenges, and working with people who care about what they build.

You'll join the tv.nu team, collaborating with Schibsted, and have a real say in how our mobile apps evolve.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our iOS app is built with Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit, combining native development with a shared cross-platform architecture.

We've adopted Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) as our long-term mobile architecture, sharing business logic between iOS and Android while keeping fully native user interfaces on both platforms.

There's plenty of interesting engineering work ahead, and you'll help shape how we approach it.

As our iOS expert, you'll take the lead on the iOS app while working closely with our Android developer on the shared KMP layer.

We believe in shared ownership across our mobile platforms. While iOS will be your primary focus, you'll collaborate closely on our KMP architecture and gradually contribute to Android development as well.

What you'll be working on:

• Own and evolve our iOS app, from building features to improving performance, stability, quality, and releases.
• Build native user experiences with SwiftUI and UIKit, creating intuitive and reliable experiences for our users.
• Shape our Kotlin Multiplatform architecture, working alongside our Android developer to make shared code fit naturally into the iOS app, including API design, Swift interoperability, and build integration.
• Collaborate across iOS and Android, pairing on cross-platform features and gradually building the skills to contribute smaller Android changes when needed.
• Make thoughtful architectural decisions, balancing product needs, development speed, and long-term maintainability.
• Work closely with product, design, and backend colleagues, sharing ideas, challenging assumptions, and finding practical solutions together.
• Explore AI-assisted engineering workflows, experimenting with tools and approaches that can make our development process better.

You'll have the autonomy to make technical decisions, but you won't be working in isolation. We believe the best solutions come from combining individual ownership with open discussions and shared expertise.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone who enjoys building products that people actually use, takes pride in writing maintainable code, and likes figuring things out together with others.

Strong iOS expertise, curiosity about cross-platform development, and a willingness to share what you know matter most.

You have:

• 3+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and modern iOS architecture.
• Experience maintaining and modernizing production iOS apps, including making improvements without disrupting existing users.
• A solid understanding of the iOS app lifecycle, performance, and stability.
• Experience with CI/CD and iOS app release processes.
• An interest in Kotlin Multiplatform, Kotlin, and sharing code across iOS and Android.
• The ability to explain technical decisions clearly and discuss trade-offs openly.
• A collaborative mindset and an interest in helping your teammates learn and grow.
• Communicative English skills (spoken and written).

It's great if you also have:

• Experience integrating Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) modules into an iOS app.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin or native Android development.
• Experience integrating advertising SDKs, analytics, or consent management into native apps.
• Familiarity with mobile design systems.
