Are you a master's student looking for a thesis project with real-world impact? POC welcomes open applications from students who want to write their master thesis with us. Bring your own idea, or reach out to explore a collaboration on one of the challenges we are working on, from impact protection and materials to brand, sustainability and the way we work.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Every year, POC hosts master thesis students at our head office in Stockholm. A thesis with POC gives you access to our team, our products and our ways of working, and gives us fresh perspectives and new knowledge. We want the collaboration to be valuable for both you and us, so we match projects carefully against our current priorities and the support we can offer.

There are two ways to work with us:

Bring your own idea

  • You have a thesis idea that connects to POC, our products, our users or our industry
  • Tell us what you want to explore, why it matters and how you plan to approach it

Collaborate on our challenges

  • You are interested in a field where POC is active and want to explore a topic together with us
  • When we have defined thesis topics, we reach out to students in our open application pool first

HOW IT WORKS

  • We review applications continuously and contact you if your idea or profile matches an opportunity
  • A thesis normally covers one semester, with a supervisor at POC alongside your academic supervisor
  • Thesis start: spring and/or autumn semester
  • A confidentiality agreement and an agreement on how results may be used and published are signed before the thesis starts

HOW TO APPLY

Submit your application and include:

  • Your CV
  • A short cover letter: who you are, your programme and university, and your intended thesis period
  • If you bring your own idea: a thesis proposal of max one page describing the question, why it matters to POC and your planned method
  • If you want to collaborate on our challenges: the areas you are interested in and why
  • Your most recent transcript of records

GOOD TO KNOW

This is an open application, not an advertised position, and submitting does not guarantee a thesis placement. By submitting your application, you agree that POC may store your application and contact you when we have thesis opportunities that match your profile. We keep your application for 12 months, after which it is deleted. You can withdraw your application and have your data deleted at any time.

Skills & Requirements

  • Enrolled in a master's programme at a university, with the thesis as the final part of your degree
