At Adapteo, we develop and provide adaptable modular buildings that can be moved, transformed and used again and again. Our circular business model allows us to use minimal resources to provide maximum value for our customers, society and the planet.

We are now looking for a QHSE Specialist to join our Group Sustainability team at our headquarters in Solna. This is a hands-on, business-facing role for someone who wants to help drive real improvement across a fast-growing, international organisation,

Adapteo operates across a dozen European countries, and QHSE is a central part of how we develop and drive our business and our way of working. In this role, you will work hands-on together with our Business Units to help drive and develop Adapteo’s QHSE ambitions.

You will report to the Head of Quality Management and be part of the Group Sustainability team, which includes QHSE. The role is based in Solna, but includes frequent travel across our markets. You will be expected to be close to the organisation: supporting, planning, driving, following up and helping teams move from ambition to delivery.

We are looking for a driven, practical, pragmatic, service-minded sharp planner, with a curious eye for the day-to-day realities of business and operations. You love being hands-on, are operational and proactive, a self-starter who is result-oriented, and also a genuine people-person who knows that progress happens when people come together.

Your responsibilities

As QHSE Specialist, you will be a key subject matter expert, instrumental in driving and supporting the execution and follow-up of Adapteo Group’s QHSE priorities, targets and improvement initiatives across our organization. In this role, you will in many cases be the primary go-to person for business units who may or may not have QHSE specialists of their own, and who will look to you to lead the way. Our team is small and agile, relying on everyone to own their responsibilities.

In practice, this means that you will:

  • Plan, drive, support and follow up Adapteo’s QHSE priorities, targets and improvement initiatives across Group functions and Business units.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of QHSE practices and support continuous improvement.
  • Plan, prepare and follow-up all the activities in the QHSE annual wheel, including internal and external ISO audits.
  • Maintain and develop relevant parts of Adapteo’s Global Management System, to ensure its continuing suitability, effectiveness and alignment with the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Support local development, adaptation and implementation of the GMS in the Business Units.
  • Coordinate recurring QHSE activities, such as risk and opportunity assessments, non-conformity follow-up, action tracking, documentation and reporting.
  • Collect and validate information from BUs, operational teams and functions to ensure reliable and useful QHSE performance data.
  • Prepare summaries, status updates and supporting material for management review, governance meetings and other follow-up forums.
  • Support QHSE knowledge, awareness and capability development through guidance, trainings and communication of ways of working.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to clarify and deploy QHSE routines, requirements and expectations and support a systematic way of working.
  • Identify gaps in processes, data, documentation or ownership, and contribute to practical solutions that improve performance and compliance.
  • Support running the internal QHSE Network, a cross-functional forum for QHSE topics and alignment.

Skills & Requirements

Who you are

You are a structured, proactive and collaborative person who enjoys turning requirements, data and observations into practical improvements. You have a strong eye for detail while also understanding how QHSE contributes to the bigger picture, customer satisfaction and to a well-functioning business.

You are comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your responsibilities, while building strong relationships with colleagues across different functions and markets.

Following up with stakeholders comes naturally to you, and you are not afraid to ask questions, challenge existing ways of working or raise concerns when something needs attention. You enjoy working with several activities in parallel and have a systematic approach to documentation, deadlines and follow-up.

At the same time, you are pragmatic and solution-oriented and understand that successful QHSE work is about engaging people. You bring clarity to complex topics and make sure that agreed actions actually happen.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and like to work closely with people and are happy to travel extensively to get to know the organization personally, build relationships and drive progress in person.

Most importantly, you are motivated by creating a strong quality culture that drives better performance, strengthens customer satisfaction, and lays the groundwork for long-term success and sustainable development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • You hold a relevant academic degree within business administration or quality management, and have min 2-3 years relevant experience from QHSE work preferably in an international setting
  • Experience in maintaining and developing a QHSE management system
  • Experience working with QHSE ISO standards, management reviews and internal and external audits.
  • Professional proficiency in English. Other languages from Adapteo’s geographies are a big plus.
  • Experience from working in an international organization or across several business units or markets is considered an advantage.
