Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Composite Production Lead to join our growing composites manufacturing team at Zenvo Automotive.

Reporting to the Head of Composites, this is a hands-on role combining practical carbon fibre manufacturing with the day-to-day coordination of our composites production facility.

As Zenvo grows, we are developing our in-house manufacturing capability to produce an increasing range of carbon fibre components for our hypercars. We are looking for someone who can help us take that next step, supporting the development of our people, processes and facilities alongside the demands of daily production.

This is an opportunity for an experienced composites technician, team leader or production supervisor who enjoys being involved in the practical work but also wants to take greater responsibility for how a workshop operates.

We are not expecting someone to arrive with all the answers. What matters is having a good technical foundation, a proactive attitude and the willingness to help us build a capable and successful team.

Key Responsibilities

Production and Workshop Operations

  • Coordinate daily composites manufacturing activities, helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
  • Remain actively involved in hands-on composite manufacturing, supporting the team where needed.
  • Organise workshop priorities, materials, tools and equipment to support production requirements.
  • Maintain good workshop standards, including cleanliness, organisation and safe working practices.
  • Identify and help resolve practical production issues as they arise.

Process and Capability Development

  • Work alongside the Head of Composites to improve existing manufacturing processes and introduce new capabilities.
  • Support the introduction of additional composite components into in-house production as our facility develops.
  • Help establish clear work instructions, practical manufacturing methods and consistent working standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and the general operation of the workshop.
  • Provide practical input into tooling, equipment and facility improvements.

Team Support and Development

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to composites technicians.
  • Share technical knowledge and help develop the skills and confidence of the team.
  • Encourage good communication, teamwork and a positive approach to solving problems.
  • Help establish a working environment where people take pride in their workmanship and support each other.

Quality and Safety

  • Ensure manufacturing activities follow agreed quality and safety requirements.
  • Support inspection, traceability and production documentation where required.
  • Work with Engineering and Quality colleagues to resolve manufacturing issues and improve component quality.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Practical experience manufacturing carbon fibre or composite components.
  • Good understanding of prepreg lay-up, vacuum bagging, curing and general composites manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working with high-quality composite components, ideally within automotive, motorsport or a similar industry.
  • Confidence reading technical drawings and following manufacturing instructions.
  • Good organisational skills and a practical approach to solving problems.
  • Experience supervising or supporting other technicians would be beneficial, but is not essential.

We welcome applications from experienced technicians looking to take the next step in their careers, as well as those who have previously worked in production leadership roles.

Personal Attributes

At Zenvo, attitude and approach are just as important as technical experience.

We are a growing manufacturer, and that means we are still developing the processes, skills and facilities needed to support our ambitions. We want people who are excited to contribute to that development rather than simply work within an already established operation.

We particularly value:

  • A hands-on attitude: Someone who enjoys practical work, leads by example and is willing to get involved wherever their experience can help.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a developing manufacturing environment where priorities and processes will continue to evolve.
  • Resilience and determination: Able to approach challenges constructively, work through setbacks and maintain a positive outlook when things do not go exactly to plan.
  • Team mentality: Someone who enjoys helping others, sharing knowledge and contributing to a supportive workshop environment.
  • Initiative and ownership: Willing to identify improvements, suggest solutions and take responsibility for the quality of their work.
  • Pride in workmanship: Cares about producing exceptional components and maintaining a workshop that reflects the standards of the vehicles we build.

What to Expect

Zenvo is at an exciting stage of development, and our composites facility will continue to grow alongside our vehicle production capability.

This role offers the opportunity to be involved in that growth, helping develop the workshop, introduce new manufacturing processes and build a strong team around you.

There will be challenges as we develop, but you will be working alongside experienced colleagues and the Head of Composites to tackle them together.

We do not expect perfection from day one. We value practical experience, a willingness to learn and people who genuinely want to make things better.

If you enjoy working with composites, take pride in your craft and would like to help shape a growing production operation, we would be pleased to hear from you.

Great Place to Work

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

  • A collaborative and innovative working environment.

  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.

  • A unique opportunity to work on world-class hypercar projects.
