Job Description

Would you like to work in a hands‑on operational role and have a passion for high‑quality production and warehouse excellence?

Then you might be the person we are looking for!

Take on the role as Spiral Operator / Relief Warehouse Operative and report to our Branch Manager supporting KPI achievement across the team.

Your primary tasks will be

  • Operating the Spiral Tube Forming Machine to produce high‑quality spiral tube in line with company specifications and safety requirements.
  • Monitoring and maintaining both spiral and raw material stock levels to ensure timely production and fulfilment of delivery demands.
  • Carrying out general machine maintenance, logging all work completed, and promptly reporting any issues or breakdowns.
  • Performing core warehouse tasks including goods‑in processing, accurate picking, packing, stock rotation, and maintaining high housekeeping standards.
  • Safely loading and unloading vehicles, using forklifts and manual handling equipment where trained and required.
  • Supporting stock counts, annual stock take activities, and ongoing stock accuracy initiatives.

You are a friendly individual with strong knowledge of warehouse operations and production processes. You have an excellent understanding of safe handling practices, stock control, and working with machinery. You have experience in working within a warehouse environment, operating forklifts, and following structured procedures. It’s an advantage if you have worked with spiral forming equipment, trade counter operations, or similar industrial machinery.

As a person, you are proactive and accurate. You are also flexible and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

In your way of working, you are safety‑conscious, organised, and committed to maintaining neatness and order.

What you bring

  • Experience in sheet metal production or a similar manufacturing environment
  • Ability to operate and maintain machinery, including performing inspections and routine maintenance
  • Strong Health & Safety awareness and understanding of PPE and safe handling procedures
  • Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (essential)
  • Experience in a warehouse or similar operational environment

  • Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4pm Friday, 30-minutes for lunch
