About Sales Consultant

You will be at the forefront of critical new relationships with clients from top tier and well known brands to small to medium business across multiple industry categories. You will handle the full cycle of business development, including using both established techniques and innovative ways to identify, nurture, qualify and execute business development opportunities across the Meltwater product portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone self driven, energetic and creative and want to develop their career in revenue generating function at a fast expansion region in a well established software business group. Also it is for those want to work with highly motivated, fun, hunger to success sales professionals that take pride in landing new customers, running strategic sales cycles and challenge existing norms within our industry, and act not only as a Meltwater product expert but as an extension of our clients' team, consulting on long term business objectives and developing strong professional relationships.

Your journey with us…

  • Sales Consultant/Senior Sales Consultant: Handle the full software sales cycle, from research and identify opportunity to directly engage with C-Level Executives, propose the business value of using Meltwater and subscribe new customers to the solution. You will actively contributing to product improvements by informing internal team on client feedback/requests.
  • Sales Manager: Lead a team of sales consultants to bring the best business values to the new clients, execute on your team’s plan to meet or exceed revenue quota. You will learn to train, mentor, motivate and lead young talents, most importantly, you will inspire the next generation of manager-to-be.
  • Managing Director: Take ownership of the vision for your team growth, you will hire, on board, train, lead and manage a team of A players. Make it a place where everyone is inspired, challenged, learn, excel and can do their best work. Manage multi-million USD portfolio of clients with full P&L responsibility. Sharp the product development and China specific products localization strategy in Greater China. Make direct and profound impact on our organizational growth in the most important region at Meltwater Group.

What you will be doing?

  • By staying on top of the news, social media, business announcements and marketing campaigns, direct prospecting, networking and in house marketing campaigns to generate leads and new business opportunities
  • Proactively connect with clients’ business executives to learn about their business, articulate Meltwater’s value proposition to decision makers to assess buying interest and pitch relevant solutions, either through online demonstrations or in person meetings
  • Manage daily and weekly activities, pipelines, forecasts and closed deals to ensure above monthly quota results
  • Deliver a best in class client experience from the beginning of contact through onboarding stage
  • Remain highly knowledgeable about industry trends, market activities, and competitors

Skills & Requirements

We would love to see…

  • 1 year + related work experience in business development, lead generation, inside and/ or outside sales, customer success or other related fields
  • With experiences in high volume technology solution-based selling (SaaS, UCaaS, Cloud applications and VoIP), corporate banking or professional service is highly preferred
  • University Degree with strong academic results
  • International exposure for full time work/internship or study would be ideal
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to convey and relate ideas to others
  • Have a strong history of being the best at whatever you have done in the past
  • Entrepreneurial flare - ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Vibrant and energetic attitude with natural leadership qualities
  • Ability to adapt easily to a rapidly-changing environment
  • Ability to work confidently, both independently and in a team
