Position Summary:

Bonduelle Americas is seeking a Director, Brand Management to set the U.S. brand strategy and lead profitable growth for the branded product portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role serves as the senior steward of the Bonduelle brand in the U.S., translating the Groupe's global narrative into a differentiated, consumer-led strategy and multi-year growth agenda. The Director owns portfolio positioning, annual and long-range brand planning, consumer insights, packaging, and integrated marketing priorities. As a member of the Marketing leadership team, this role influences enterprise decisions and aligns Sales, Digital Activation & eCommerce, Shopper Marketing, Innovation, Finance, and agency partners around clear growth priorities. The Director will lead, coach, and develop one Brand Manager while ensuring strong execution of the Lunch Bowls launch and other strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

    Brand Strategy & Positioning 

    • Set and evolve the U.S. brand vision, positioning, architecture, and multi-year growth strategy, ensuring clear differentiation across the portfolio and consistent translation into packaging, advertising, innovation, and retail execution. 
    • Lead the translation of the Groupe's global brand narrative into a U.S.-relevant strategy, establishing strategic guardrails, priorities, and decision criteria for the American consumer and retail landscape. 
    • Synthesize category, competitive, cultural, and consumer trends to identify white space, shape portfolio choices, and recommend growth priorities to Marketing and executive leadership. 

    Marketing Mix & Brand Planning 

    • Own the annual and long-range brand planning process across the portfolio. Partner with all other Marketing functional leaders to develop growth objectives, portfolio and pricing strategy, integrated marketing priorities, and A&P investment allocation resulting in a clear strategic plan designed to meet or exceed our growth objectives. 
    • Manage packaging design and brand identity execution, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines across all formats and retail channels. 

    Team Leadership & Organizational Capability 

    • Manage, coach, and develop team, establishing clear priorities, decision rights, performance expectations, and development plans while maintaining accountability for portfolio results. 
    • Build brand management capability, operating rhythms, and cross-functional ways of working that improve strategic clarity, execution quality, and speed of decision-making. 

    Consumer Insights & Innovation Support 

    • Set the consumer learning agenda and oversee research investment, ensuring insights are translated into portfolio strategy, innovation choices, communications, and executive recommendations. 
    • Partner with the Innovation & Culinary Creations team and the Fresh and Shelf Stable Category Directors on new product ideation, concept development, and go-to-market planning, ensuring new items are grounded in brand strategy. 

    Cross-Functional Partnership 

    • Serve as the senior Brand partner to Sales and Shopper Marketing, aligning portfolio strategy, trade investment, customer priorities, and in-store execution to deliver both brand equity and commercial growth. 
    • Partner with Digital Activation & eCommerce leadership to establish portfolio-wide digital shelf, social, content, and retail media priorities, ensuring integrated and consistent brand expression. 
    • Represent Brand Management in Marketing leadership, enterprise business reviews, and major customer or launch forums; provide clear strategic recommendations, risks, and performance updates to senior leaders. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8–12+ years of progressive CPG brand management experience, including significant portfolio leadership, P&L accountability, and responsibility for delivering profitable growth. 
  • Demonstrated success setting multi-year brand or portfolio strategy and leading annual plans across positioning, pricing, innovation, integrated marketing, packaging, and A&P investment. 
  • Strong grounding in consumer insights and marketing research methodologies, with the ability to translate findings into brand decisions. 
  • Experience managing creative, media, or research agency partners. 
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to own portfolio P&L outcomes, allocate investment, evaluate returns, and translate performance into decisive action. 
  • Proven enterprise-level influence and executive communication skills, with the ability to align Sales, Finance, Innovation, Digital, Shopper Marketing, and agency partners around strategic priorities. 
  • Track record of directly managing, coaching, and developing brand management talent, including setting goals, delegating ownership, and driving accountability. 
  • Food & beverage or perishables/produce category experience a plus. 
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus. 

What Success Looks Like 

Within the first year, this role will have established a clear multi-year U.S. brand and portfolio strategy, delivered the annual brand plan and P&L commitments, strengthened cross-functional alignment and investment discipline, and built a high-performing partnership with their team and the other Marketing functional leaders. The Director will be recognized by Sales, Marketing, Innovation, Finance, and executive leadership as the accountable senior steward of brand equity and a decisive driver of profitable portfolio growth, including successful support of the Lunch Bowls launch and other priority innovations.
