Senior UX Designer — Accessibility

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to join a cross-functional team responsible for Helix, our design system, and the user experience across three SaaS products: Amino, Sonar, and Proline.

This role covers the full range of UX practice. You will take on product design work alongside the team and bring a specialized focus on accessibility, ensuring that Helix components are designed to be accessible from the start and that existing product surfaces meet a real accessibility standard.

Accessibility is your area of depth, not your only responsibility.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Product Design

  • Own UX design work across Amino, Sonar, and Proline: flows, wireframes, interaction specs, and design reviews
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define and validate interaction decisions
  • Participate in design critiques and contribute to design quality across the team
  • Plan and support usability testing, prototype validation, and design feedback sessions to identify friction, validate assumptions, and improve product decisions

Accessibility

  • Design Helix components with accessibility built in: focus management, color contrast, keyboard navigation, screen reader semantics, and motion sensitivity
  • Conduct accessibility audits on existing product surfaces and deliver actionable remediation roadmaps
  • Define and maintain accessibility guidelines within design system documentation
  • Partner with UX developers and frontend engineers to verify that implementation matches accessible design intent
  • Educate and advocate across the team for accessible design practices

Skills & Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 4+ years of UX design experience with a strong generalist foundation; you can own a feature end to end
  • Deep working knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 at AA and AAA levels
  • Experience designing within or contributing to a design system
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies from a design validation perspective: screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control
  • Ability to conduct structured accessibility audits and communicate findings to both design and engineering audiences
  • Proficiency in Figma
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English

Preferred

  • Familiarity with ARIA patterns and how they shape design decisions
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, Lighthouse, NVDA, or VoiceOver
  • Understanding of how Angular or component-based frameworks implement accessible UI
  • Experience in SaaS or enterprise software environments
  • Exposure to color systems and design token structures

Differentiators

  • Formal accessibility certification, such as CPACC, WAS, or equivalent, will be weighted in the evaluation process
  • Experience establishing accessibility standards at the organization level, not just within individual projects
  • Track record of auditing and remediating existing products, not only designing greenfield experiences

Skills

  • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions and evaluate trade-offs across user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
  • Deep empathy for users, with the ability to understand their context, constraints, frustrations, and goals before jumping into solutions
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity.

About the company

In a world with an ever-growing population with climate and sustainability challenges and with changing consumer demands, the global food industry is going through a profound transformation.

Did you know that 815 million people go to bed hungry every night. At the same time, 1/3 of all food being produced globally is wasted.

The Speria business is all about changing this. Not only to improve animal welfare, drive yield and sustainability for actors in the global food supply chain, but also to help to feed the world by enabling change in the way we farm and produce food.

Our contribution is to create a digital ecosystem including data capture platforms as connected controllers and IoT and sensors, that together with predictive AI and real-time monitoring allow farmers and growers to improve animal welfare and maximize production while minimizing waste and Co2 emissions – ensuring a transparent and sustainable food production for a growing population.

Speria – spearheading digitalization by providing innovative solutions enabling the green transition.
