We are looking for a Project Manager to join our industry teams in Sweden, focusing on global growth of Swedish companies. Start date as soon as possible.

Business Sweden helps Swedish companies grow global sales and international companies invest and expand in Sweden.
As a Project Manager you will work in a challenging and stimulating environment supporting our clients in their international business development. You will work mostly independently, but in teams as well, with advising Swedish SMEs in their internationalization journey, identifying new business opportunities, driving sales, stakeholder analysis and management, arranging business meetings and developing regional networks.

  • The role includes both strategic and operational responsibilities
  • Support small and medium-sized companies in their internationalization
  • Proactively prospect and reach out to relevant companies ready for internationalization.
  • Independently coach and strategically advise Swedish SME companies to make them ready to grow internationally.
  • Carry out market and industry analyses and other client deliverables.
  • Drive business development and sales of Business Sweden’s full service offering.
  • Work with international teams to deliver projects that support our promotional activities and clients in their international business development.
  • Manage and drive own workflows and take on project manager roles in projects.
  • Break down own work into process steps, prioritize correctly and deliver results on assigned KPIs.
  • Support the team in strategic business development projects and in the improvement of internal processes and tools.

Your manager is Head of Life Science, Digital Technologies & Consumer Goods. You will work network-based with colleagues in other offices, both in the team and in projects across the organization globally at Business Sweden. You will also have contact with many external stakeholders and represent Business Sweden in various collaboration projects and networks.

The role is based in Linköping, but you will be expected to work with our teams and clients around the world, as required.

Formal requirements

  • A higher academic degree, Master of Science or equivalent.
  • At least five years’ relevant experience in business development or management consulting, international business, or global expansion and sales.
  • Proven project management skills and experience.
  • Experience in business development and sales.
  • Experience working with market analysis and research.
  • Experience working with the development of digital tools or data analytics.
  • Great relationship-building and teamwork skills in internal and external networks.
  • Experienced user of AI tools, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience working outside Sweden and with international companies and global projects is meriting.
  • Strong competence and experience in one of the focus industries is positive: Life Science, Digital Tech, Defense orConsumer Goods, enabling you to be a trustworthy adviser to companies and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and insight into the development of SMEs, including understanding company drivers and financials, in order to advise on internationalization and global business opportunities.
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English is required. A high level of proficiency in written and spoken Swedish is meriting.
