We are looking for a Procurement Manager- Indirect Materials, to build and lead a modern, strategic and data-driven procurement capability across Rusta. The role reports to the Chief Purchasing officer and is based at our Head Office in Upplands Väsby, Stockholm.

About the role

This is a key leadership role with a clear transformation mandate. You will develop Rusta’s indirect procurement capability and move a decentralized spend environment towards a coordinated, strategic and value-creating function. You will set the direction, establish governance and category strategies, lead strategic sourcing projects and supplier management, and improve spend visibility, contract transparency and procurement performance.

You will act as a trusted business partner across Rusta, working closely with Finance, IT, HR, Marketing, Distribution center, Retail and E commerce. As a member of the Sourcing Management Team, you will also contribute to Rusta’s overall sourcing strategy and transformation agenda.

This is more than a traditional procurement role. You will have the opportunity to set the structure, drive sourcing excellence through spend visibility and creating scalable processes and capabilities across the organization.

Your key responsibilities

  • Shape the strategy and operating model. Define and implement the future operating model for indirect procurement, including category strategies, sourcing roadmaps and clear ownership between central procurement and business functions.
  • Lead strategic sourcing. Drive sourcing projects, negotiations, supplier selection and contract renewals across multiple indirect spend categories.
  • Strengthening supplier and contract management. Build robust supplier performance, contract governance and risk-management practices, ensuring suppliers meet commercial, quality, sustainability and compliance requirements.
  • Create governance and transparency. Implement practical procurement policies, processes and decision forums that improve contract coverage and compliance and reduce reliance on local processes and individual knowledge.
  • Driving digitalization and procurement excellence. Improve spend analytics, reporting and contract transparency, and support the effective use of procurement tools and ERP-enabled processes.
  • Deliver measurable business value. Identify, realize and track savings and broader value improvements through clear KPIs and benefit-tracking methodologies.
  • Lead change through collaboration. Build trust, challenge constructively and develop commercial capability and accountability across the organization.

Skills & Requirements

About you

You are a pragmatic change leader with strong commercial judgement and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders. You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, create clarity in complex environments. You have deep expertise in negotiation and contract management skills across varies segments in Indirect procurement. You build trust through collaboration while maintaining a strong focus on execution and Rusta’s total business needs.

What you bring

  • At least 10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or category management, including a minimum of 5 years within indirect procurement.
  • Demonstrated experience of building procurement strategies, category plans, governance and scalable processes.
  • A strong track record in negotiations, supplier management, contract management and benefit realization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional transformation and influencing senior stakeholders in a decentralized or complex organization.
  • An analytical mindset and the ability to turn spend and performance data into priorities and business decisions.
  • Strong collaboration, communication and presentation skills.
  • Full professional proficiency in both Swedish and English.

Experience in retail, consumer products, manufacturing or another product-driven organization is an advantage.

  • This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Head Office in Bredden, Upplands Väsby, with a start date by agreement.
  • We provides a free shuttle bus between Rotebro station and the office, as well as garage parking for employees commuting by car.
