Here is an exciting opportunity to have your autumn term internship with our Technical Designer (Patternmaker) team at Kappahl Group! Welcome to a world filled with joyful creativity, inclusive colleagues, and courageous challenges. Apply today!
Your internship
In collaboration with the Technical Designer team, designers, and buyers, you will learn and support the product development process aligned with trends and brand strategies.
Your role will involve digital patternmaking in 2D using tools such as Lectra, ensuring optimal fit and silhouette across various sizes. Additionally, you'll work with 3D digital product development tools like CLO to enhance speed and precision in the design process. A strong interest in fashion innovation and sustainability is essential. You are a great team player who brings self-leadership, initiative, and a solution-oriented mindset to every stage of product development.
We offer a creative environment where you will grow and be challenged alongside committed colleagues. The position is based at our new head office in Mölndal centre. The internship must be part of an educational program or arranged through the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen).
Kappahl Group is a company in transformation, and collaboration with curious and driven students is an important part of our journey. An internship with us offers a unique insight into one of the Nordic region’s leading fashion retailers – how we work, what we stand for, and how we shape the future together.
Our values guide everything we do: inclusive, courageous and joyful. We are excited to learn from your ideas and perspectives, and to explore together how Kappahl Group can become even better than it is today. Our ambition is that we grow and develop through mutual learning.

The Kappahl Group is a leading fashion chain in the Nordics, with around 350 Kappahl and Newbie stores across Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Poland and the UK, as well as online sales in more than 20 markets throughout Europe and Asia. Founded in 1953, the Group has grown into an international fashion business with profitable and sustainable growth at the heart of its strategy.
We want to make a difference in the fashion world and to lead the way by always keeping our promises: taking care of the world around us and minimizing the environmental impact for each garment. And at the same time fulfil our employee promise "We promise you the right to always be yourself - a place to belong”. The Kappahl team consists of some 4,000 colleagues in eight countries, all with different backgrounds, ages, skills and styles. Our common motivation is to create a responsible world of fashion and offer fashion to a wide variety of people and lifestyles. A responsible fashion that feels right, for the bearer and for the world we live in. Today, more than 99% of the products are made of certified or licensed materials. Our overall climate goal is to halve the value chain's absolute climate emissions by 2032 and to have 100% traceability from fibre to finished garment in 2026. We also have a goal that 50% of the range is produced for a circular economy in 2026.
