Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Design Engineer within the Vehicle Systems team, you will be responsible for the design and development of robust, reliable, and high-performance automotive systems. The role covers development from concept to production and requires close collaboration with Product, Powertrain, Optical and Electrical Design, as well as CAE, Prototype, and Homologation departments.

You will:

  • Design and develop mechanical and electrical automotive systems, including cooling, HVAC, electrical boxes, hydraulics, fuel systems, wiper systems, and packaging
  • Generate 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using CATIA V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE
  • Organize and carry out tests to verify component function and ensure requirements are met
  • Provide technical support for the successful introduction of components and systems into production
  • Support the release of products into production through PLM
  • Collaborate with suppliers and technology providers to ensure quality, performance, and delivery requirements are met
  • Ensure that products comply with relevant regulations and requirements
  • Estimate cost and time scopes for components and systems

Skills & Requirements

Requirements:

  • MSc/BSc in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Automotive, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in vehicle system design
  • 5+ years of experience with CATIA V5/V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE
  • Strong mechanical engineering skills, including design, manufacturing limitations, mechanical linkages, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
  • Experience with technologies used in automotive electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with PLM systems
  • Working knowledge of DFMEA and GD&T
  • Understanding of prototyping, manufacturing, and production technologies
  • Professional level of English
