Gameplay Capture Artist (RPG studio)

As a Capture Artist you will be an integral part of a creative team that ensures our marketing assets are delivered to their highest quality and compete on a world class level. You will be responsible to capture and produce live footage in a fast-paced, teamwork-based environment.

The Rovio Stockholm Studio is behind the hugely popular title Angry Birds 2 and while soaring on that success we are also developing several new IP's and exploring new game ideas within the RPG genre, as well as improving and expanding Angry Birds 2 even further. In the studio, situated in the city centre, we keep a flat hierarchy, with a high level of transparency and clear open communication within the studio. We challenge each other and ourselves in all we do here but keep the atmosphere friendly, inclusive, respectful and supportive.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of the mechanics of video games and the skill to play them as directed by marketing team
  • Basic knowledge of video editing (Screen Flow, Adobe Premiere) and game development tools (Unity)
  • Love video games, we are looking for passionate crewmembers who see gaming as more than a pastime
  • Basic understanding of applying cinematic filming techniques to game capture such as, camera moves, lens choice, etc.
  • Patience (shots will require multiple takes until you get the right one)

Responsibilities:

  • Capture and produce live footage in a fast-paced work environment
  • Work with technologies involved with a game in development (i.e. debug features)
  • Present new game features and mechanics to players from a studied perspective

Job Type: This position is a temporary part time opportunity (10 hours per week) lasting for approximately 6 months, with the possibility to become permanent.
