Linear, a Finnish SaaS company founded in 2018, is well on its way to become the next Nordic tech success story: a strong product, a large market ready for change, and the ambition to redefine how an entire industry works.

The company has grown into Finland’s most used real estate software, with its platform already reaching customers across 20 countries. We’re now looking for a BI professional to help turn its data into the next stage of international growth.

Its core product, the Linear platform, brings together the most important tools real estate professionals need in their daily work, from sales and customer management to marketing. Behind the platform is a vast amount of data, covering the full customer journey from the first contact to completed deals, all running through Linear’s ecosystem.

Linear has established a market-leading position in Finland and is now expanding internationally. As the company and its products grow, so does the opportunity to make better use of the data already flowing through the platform. This is where you come in.

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who combines hands-on BI skills with commercial curiosity. Someone who wants to join Linear not just for the role, but for what they are building together. A person who wants to understand customers, challenge existing solutions, and take real ownership of what reporting and analytics could become at Linear.

What will you be doing?

Your initial focus will be on developing the reporting capabilities within Linear’s SaaS product for its customers. You will work hands-on with Power BI, SQL, and Excel to build reporting solutions that help customers understand their business and make better use of their data.

You will also work directly with customers to understand their challenges, ask the right questions, and turn business needs into practical and visually appealing BI solutions. You will have considerable freedom to shape how reporting develops – from identifying what customers actually need to building and productizing solutions that can serve a growing international customer base.

As Linear grows, so can your role. You can take increasing ownership of the BI product, contribute to its commercial development, and eventually help build a broader analytics offering around it.

Power BI, SQL, and Excel are familiar tools to you, but you also want to understand the customers and business behind the data. You thrive when you are trusted with responsibility rather than handed a detailed task list. You take initiative, find out what you don’t yet know, and bring your own ideas into the discussion. And if your background is more technical – for example, you have end-to-end data pipeline experience or have worked in data engineering – we also encourage you to apply if the broader business and ownership side of the role resonates with you.

We expect you to have:

• Professional experience with Power BI and the ability to independently build practical BI solutions
• Good SQL skills and an understanding of databases and working with data
• Ability to connect hands-on BI work with customer and business needs
• A proactive and independent approach to solving problems and taking ownership in a fast-evolving growth company environment
• A mindset oriented towards business and growth
• Professional proficiency in English and Finnish and the ability to work directly with clients in Finnish

We consider as an asset:

• Experience collaborating with customers or business stakeholders to understand reporting needs
• Interest in productization, analytics, product thinking, or future product ownership
• Understanding of performance optimization for large datasets
• Curiosity toward new tools, automation, or AI-assisted development

Practicalities:

This is a full-time and permanent position, and you will be employed directly by Linear. The ideal start time in the role is as soon as possible. The role will be located in Helsinki, and we hope you are able to visit the office from time to time as part of a flexible hybrid model, especially during the onboarding phase.
