Sourcing & Vendor Performance Lead

Sourcing & Vendor Performance Lead

Do you want to shape how sourcing decisions translate into measurable operational performance across the Nordics?

As Sourcing & Vendor Performance Lead, you will drive a common approach to sourcing and supplier performance across the Nordic Underlay Delivery & Access Lines organisation. Your focus will be on creating transparency, improving supplier performance and finding the right balance between internal capabilities, nearshore capacity and external partners.

What you need to succeed

  • Solid experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management or supplier performance, combined with hands-on experience managing external suppliers in a production or delivery environment.
  • Documented experience with make-or-buy decisions and changes to delivery models, including insourcing, outsourcing, nearshoring or comparable initiatives.
  • Strong experience with contracts, pricing models, SLAs and commercial mechanisms, including tenders, negotiations and implementation in collaboration with Procurement.
  • Strong analytical experience with cost-driver analysis, benchmarking and business cases, and the ability to connect commercial terms with operational performance.

About the role and the team

This is a Nordic role working across countries and functions. You will be a part of the Strategic Transformation and Operational Excellence team in Nordic Underlay Delivery & Access Lines.

You will connect operational needs with sourcing decisions and supplier agreements, working closely with Procurement, local delivery management, Finance and other key stakeholders.

You will own the operational sourcing strategy and the common approach to vendor performance. Procurement is responsible for formal tenders, commercial negotiations and contracts. Local, while local delivery management will manage daily production and supplier activities. Your role is to bring these perspectives together, create common standards and ensure that sourcing choices lead to tangible operational improvements.

What you’ll be working on

  • Drive a Nordic sourcing strategy across Nordic Underlay Delivery & Line Management, including supplier segmentation and make-or-buy analyses.
  • Participate in Procurement processes with operational requirements, volumes, cost drivers and performance data for tenders and renegotiations.
  • Lead the operational implementation and transition of new sourcing models while protecting production, quality and critical knowledge, and follow up on realised benefits.
  • Build transparency across the supplier landscape by comparing contracts, capacity, competencies, costs and performance across countries and suppliers.
  • Drive structured supplier governance, performance reviews and improvement or escalation plans when performance falls short.

Who you are

You combine commercial judgement with a strong understanding of operational delivery. You are analytical and structured, but also pragmatic enough to turn analysis and agreements into action.

You are comfortable challenging established supplier setups constructively and navigating different interests across countries and functions. You know how to negotiate while maintaining important supplier relationships, and you follow through on agreements, performance improvements and expected benefits.

Experience from telecom, infrastructure, contracting, construction or another technical delivery environment would be valuable. Fluent English is important, and Scandinavian language skills are an advantage.

Does this sound like you? If so, we would love to hear from you.
