Hardware engineer

As a Hardware Support Engineer, you will bridge hands-on engineering execution with technical operations management within a fabrication environment. You will lead Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities, streamline technical administration, drive warehouse logisitics, and author operational documentation to ensure peak equipment availability and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities & Scope:

Maintenance & Technical Operations

  • Preventive Maintenance Management: Plan, prepare, execute, and document complete PM routines for complex FAB equipment.
  • On-Site Troubleshooting: Perform root-cause analysis and hands-on resolution for electromechanical, electrical, and electronic system failures.
  • Data & System Security: Manage critical software configurations and perform regular system backups for tool control PCs.

FAB Support & Process Engineering

  • Project Support: Assist cross-functional teams on active FAB optimization projects and tool integrations.
  • Standardization: Author, standardize, and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational and maintenance protocols.
  • Technical Reporting: Analyze equipment performance metrics and present actionable insights to operational stakeholders.

Supply Chain & Technical Administration

  • Supplier Coordination: Act as the main technical contact for external vendors, managing technical requirements and procurement schedules.
  • Parts & Order Management: Source and order critical operational components to minimize downtime.
  • Logistics & Inventory Control: Oversee high-precision packaging, equipment uncrating, and active warehouse inventory management

Required knowledge and skills:

  • Master in electromechanics (ideally) or mecanics, electricity, electronics
  • Technical background: Electromechanics, Electronics, Electricity
  • Analysis and reporting skills
  • Troubleshooting technical problems
  • Hands-on approach
  • Sens of safety awareness is Mandatory
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of auto CAD, POWER BI is a plus.
