Job Description

Would you like to take ownership of business controlling in an international industrial company? Vaski Group is looking for a Business Controller to join its financial team in Seinäjoki.

Vaski Group is a fast-growing company in the industrial machinery sector, specialising in flat bar and sheet metal processing and automation. Over the past five years, the company has grown from €0 to over €50 million in revenue and from a team of just four people to 270 skilled professionals – all while maintaining strong profitability. Of the Group’s 270 employees, approximately 150 are based in Finland. Vaski combines the strengths of three established brands, Vaski, Pivatic, and Ursviken.

Vaski Group’s growth creates an ambitious and fast-paced environment where things evolve quickly and expectations are high. Success requires the ability to thrive under the pressure that comes with rapid growth, take ownership and remain effective as the organisation continues to develop and scale. This makes the role rewarding: it offers the opportunity to have an impact and grow alongside Vaski in a significant phase of its journey.

What will you be doing?

As Business Controller, you will work at the intersection of finance, projects and operations, helping Vaski Group turn financial data into better business decisions. You will work closely with project and production teams in Finland and Sweden and report to the Group Finance Director.

Your key responsibilities include monitoring the financial performance and costs of customer delivery projects, developing budgeting and forecasting, and supporting operations with financial insights. You will also follow R&D projects funded by for example Business Finland, ensuring accurate financial administration and reporting.

An important part of your role will be developing Vaski Group’s controlling practices. You will have the opportunity to shape your own responsibilities, challenge existing ways of working and contribute to the selection, implementation and development of a new reporting system. You will also handle financial matters related to delivery projects, such as bank guarantees.

  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data, budgeting, forecasting and monitoring project cost structures
  • Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English

We consider as an asset:

  • Experience from manufacturing, industrial or similar environment

  • Ownership of a responsible role where your ideas help build a stronger foundation for Vaski Group’s financial processes
  • A growing global employer that offers great career development opportunities
  • A team where trust, a hands-on mindset and long-term thinking shape the way you work together
  • A chance to make your mark in a growth-company environment where you have room to build new practices as the business evolves
  • A comprehensive benefits package including medical expense, travel, and occupational and leisure accident insurance, as well as wellbeing, lunch, and mobile phone benefits
