Title: Coordinator, Data Entry (Data Migration Analyst (PLM)

Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Location: Cary, IL, 60013 (Can be remote)

Duration: 12 months

Type – W2 contract (No C2C)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The contractor in this role is responsible for executing data quality remediation and data preparation activities required to support a successful migration to a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. This role focuses on improving the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and usability of legacy data prior to migration, ensuring business critical information is ready for loading into the new system.

This role works closely with the project team to identify, remediate, and validate data issues that could impact migration success, system performance, or regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Assessment & Cleansing

  • Analyze legacy PLM data to identify duplicates, inaccuracies, incomplete records, obsolete data and inconsistencies.
  • Apply approved data quality standards and cleansing rules to improve data accuracy and integrity.
  • Standardize metadata, naming conventions, classifications, and attribute values.
  • Partner with business process experts to resolve data quality issues and determine proper disposition of records.

Data Preparation & Migration Support

  • Prepare legacy data sets for migration into the new PLM system.
  • Support data mapping activities between source and target systems.
  • Participate in migration rehearsals, mock conversions, and production migration events.
  • Perform data reconciliation activities before and after migration cycles.
  • Assist with cutover planning and migration readiness assessments.

Data Validation & Quality Assurance

  • Execute data validation and verification activities to confirm completeness and accuracy of migrated data.
  • Investigate and resolve migration errors, exceptions, and data discrepancies.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation activities related to migrated data.
  • Document data issues, corrective actions, and validation results.

Automation & Data Transformation

  • Develop and execute scripts, queries, and automated routines to improve efficiency, consistency, and accuracy of data cleansing and migration activities.
  • Create transformation logic to convert legacy data into formats compatible with the new PLM system.
  • Leverage automation tools to reduce manual effort, improve repeatability, and accelerate migration execution.
  • Collaborate with the Data Migration Lead and technical teams to validate automated data conversion approaches.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain data cleansing logs, issue trackers, and migration status reports.
  • Document cleansing rules, transformation logic, assumptions, and remediations activities.
  • Provide regular progress updates and escalate data quality risks or roadblocks.
  • Hypercare Support
  • Assist with reconciliation and correction activities during stabilization
  • Participate in post-go-live data quality reviews
  • Provide input into lessons learned and continuous improvement efforts

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience performing data cleansing, data validation, and/or data migration activities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets
  • Strong critical thinking/troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques
  • Ability to interpret business rules and apply data governance standards consistently
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deliverables in a fast-paced project environment

EDUCATION & SPECIAL TRAINING:

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Work experience in a regulated environment with medical devices and/or pharmaceutical data (cGMP, cGDP and 21 CFR part 11 regulations) preferred.
