Are you an experienced and engaging leader with a solid background in operational finance? We are looking for a Head of Accounting & Accounts Payable to lead a skilled team, secure smooth and reliable daily operations, and drive continuous process improvements and automation across the Accounting and AP domain.

About the job
In this role, your primary objective is ensuring that our daily accounting and accounts payable operations run with high precision and predictability. You and your team are responsible for keeping "house in order"—managing daily operational accounting, securing high-quality close deliverables to meet reporting deadlines, ensuring efficient AP flows, and maintaining a smooth, service-oriented dialogue with the business.

In close collaboration with the Financial Control & Reporting team and other finance functions, you will play a key role in standardising workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing smart automation solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Securing reliable daily operations within Accounting and AP—ensuring high-quality reconciliation, transactional accounting, and timely inputs for month-end and year-end closings.
  • Managing end-to-end accounts payable flows and maintaining smooth, efficient interactions with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing the Accounting & Accounts Payable team to foster high engagement, clarity, and continuous learning.
  • Driving change initiatives and process improvements within Accounting and AP, with a strong focus on standardisation and automation.
  • Collaborating closely with other Finance teams (such as Financial Control & Reporting, Treasury, and Accounts Receivable) to ensure seamless handovers and alignment.
  • Working closely with the Financial Systems team to actively participate in the further development of our digital platforms and optimise how they are utilized in daily processes.

Who are you?
We place great emphasis on your leadership capabilities. You are an inspiring, communicative, and clear leader who knows how to create engagement, build trust, and balance day-to-day stability with continuous improvement. You have a structured mindset, strong operational drive, and a genuine interest in process optimisation and automation.

To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe that you have:

  • Proven leadership experience as an operational manager within Finance (e.g., Accounting, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable).
  • Experience in leading day-to-day operational accounting, financial closing activities, and AP workflows.
  • A proven track record of driving process improvements, standardisation, and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English and Swedish (written and spoken).
  • An academic degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
