In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery system factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

The Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering Internship is designed to provide opportunities to a diverse mix of students who demonstrate the same values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees. During the 10 to 18 week paid internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Northvolt colleagues and leaders.

The objective of the internship is to develop students through product and process development, qualification and sustainment activities, as well as assist in the personal development of leadership competencies through training, networking and coaching. The assignment will help the participant develop a wide range of leadership and functional competencies within the field of operations. Opportunities are available for those students interested in specific engineering functions such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering and Quality.

After completion of the internship, and upon graduation, your experience and newly acquired skills could lead you to a variety of career paths. These full-time programs could include assignments in Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Project Engineering, Quality Engineering, Project Management, or many others.

Required qualifications:

  • Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in engineering with a major in electrical, mechanical, industrial, logistics or supply chain management from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the Poland without Company sponsorship

About the company

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.
