Having experienced significant growth in the D/A/CH region in the past 14 years we are looking to further extend our Sales Organisation. You will drive the increase of an exciting portfolio consisting of the strongest companies and biggest opportunities across our region cutting a variety of industries.

Your responsibilities:

  • As an Account Executive you expand a key portfolio of approximately 100 national and international clients coming from all industry verticals who have the largest spend and growth potential in the area
  • Build positive, long-lasting relationships through customer engagement with executives at Chief-level to meet evolving needs and requirements plus to increase Meltwater`s market share
  • Close collaboration with marketing to implement account-based targeting strategies to drive sustainable business growth with both existing and potential clients
  • Increase revenue by negotiating contract enlargement for long-term subscriptions according to quarterly growth KPIs
  • Drive customer´s knowledge expansion by being strongly embedded in the company´s strategy development

Skills & Requirements

Your skills:

  • University degree with strong academic results and an excellent level of proficiency in written and spoken German as well as English
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales or account management experience (SaaS Sales preferred) with a proven track record of success - we want people who are goal-oriented and not afraid to challenge the norm
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: we are looking for someone who is clear, concise and convincing in their communication, and is comfortable negotiating and presenting with the C-Suite
  • Relationship is key! Effective Account Executives are able to read people and connect with them in meaningful ways; building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients is critical for the success of this role
  • Adaptability to change, ownership and accountability, attention to detail, and an ability to work independently and as a team, are all characteristics that we are looking for in applicants
  • Strong business acumen, a passion for technology, and a genuine interest in the latest happenings in news/media
