You’ll work alongside accomplished, world-renowned engineers on perhaps the most exciting automotive programs in existence today. You will become a member of the Interior group within the Koenigsegg Engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interior components and safety systems, ensuring they meet structural, aesthetic, and safety requirements.
  • Create 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using CATIA V6 3DEXPERIENCE.
  • Support the release of products into production through PLM.
  • Ensure that products meet applicable compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Vehicle Homologation team in ensuring regulatory compliance of the systems.
  • Organize and carry out tests to verify component functionality and requirements.
  • Provide technical support to ensure the successful introduction of products into production.
  • Estimate cost and time requirements for each component.
  • Interact with suppliers and technology providers.
  • Collaborate closely with the Design Studio, Production, Aftermarket, Prototype, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical, CAE, and Homologation teams.

Skills & Requirements

Required Skills

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in automotive interior development for production vehicles (hypercar experience is a plus).
  • Experience developing designs through all stages, from initial concept to final production.
  • Knowledge of carbon fibre design and manufacturing.
  • Experience in automotive seat design.
  • Experience designing interior safety components and trims.
  • Expertise in CATIA V5/V6 3DEXPERIENCE for design, surface modelling, and technical drawings.
  • Strong engineering judgement.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T principles and their application in mechanical design.
  • Experience with automotive safety regulations, including ECE and FMVSS.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of prototyping, production technologies, and validation procedures.
  • Professional-level English.
