Battery System Application Engineer - Battery Systems

  • Applications are considered on a rolling basis
  • Stockholm

Do you want to be the expert of how our cutting edge connected battery systems is working, commissioned by us and used and installed by customers?

You will part of a dedicated Battery Management Development team in our Stockholm office where your primary role is to help our production and our customers with system related issues and do on site commissioning of new systems.

You will be working close to our development engineers and learn the system inside out. On a typical working day, you are being the first point of contact for our customer and production, but the tasks can be solved in corporation with the development team. Typical tasks could be:

  • give support to the production personnel when they have problems with end-of-line tests of control system
  • solve system malfunctions or software related issues discovered by customers. If they stop the customer, the root cause needs to be found and the problem fixed quite fast. Usually this requires on-site investigations and interaction with our internal team’s software developers.
  • several days of onsite commissioning, e.g. of stationary battery systems when they are put together on-site, the control system is configured tested and when they have site-acceptance-test.
  • based on the experience you get from meeting our customers and production and using the system give input to our design teams on how to improve our system within all areas.

On Northvolt Battery Systems we make full battery system solutions, at present time for industrial applications like mining machines and for stationary storage solutions, but the application areas are expected to grow. The electronics, control systems, software and mechanics are mainly developed inhouse. Our battery systems are also connected by Wi-Fi or LTE to enable remote diagnosis and data collection.

We have many upcoming projects both within our areas, so both the commission and customer support activities are expected to increase rapidly during this year and need to grow with several persons within this area.
