We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our High Voltage and Battery team, where you will develop Hybrid Control Software for Koenigsegg's next generation of electrified powertrains.

In this role, you will develop advanced real-time control software for hybrid and high-voltage systems, contributing to the performance, efficiency, and integration of Koenigsegg's electrified powertrains. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be involved throughout the development process, from software development and simulation to calibration, vehicle testing, and system commissioning.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for developing and validating real-time control software for hybrid and high-voltage systems, supporting the full development cycle from concept to vehicle integration and testing.

You will:

  • Develop embedded software for hybrid control and high-voltage system integration
  • Design, implement and validate control strategies for energy management, thermal management and electric motor torque coordination
  • Develop, simulate, calibrate and test control software
  • Support vehicle- and component-level testing and validation
  • Support high-voltage system commissioning and vehicle bring-up
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Electrical Engineering, Calibration, Vehicle Integration, Testing and Production
  • Contribute to software architecture, debugging and continuous improvements throughout the development process

Skills & Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development within the automotive or aerospace industry.
  • Strong programming skills in Embedded C
  • Experience working with real-time or RTOS-based systems
  • Understanding of real-time control systems, state machine design and signal processing
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN and LIN
  • Familiarity with software development workflows and version control
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

Meritorious experience:

  • Experience developing control software using MATLAB/Simulink
  • Background in hybrid or electric vehicle systems
