Main goal

The Women's Football Development Assistant is a key player in driving the successful delivery of women's football development and professionalisation programmes. This football enthusiast will work directly on projects and activities that support member associations and key stakeholders to meet European-wide strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of women's football development and professionalisation programmes
  • Assisting and liaising with UEFA member associations, partners and other stakeholders on programme-related activities
  • Supporting the UEFA Women's Football Development Programme, including collecting, monitoring and reviewing applications, reports and documents relating to HatTrick incentive funding
  • Organising women's football events and workshops, particularly those linked to major competition finals, e.g. the annual Business Case for Women's Football event
  • Preparing presentations, correspondence and administrative documentation and coordinating external experts to support programmes and project delivery
  • Coordinating research projects, surveys, datasets and analysis related to the women's game, with a focus on professional football
  • Collecting, analysing and sharing women's football best practices, insights and industry trends
  • Coordinating publications and external documentation
  • Supporting the delivery of other women's football initiatives, as required

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in an international environment, sport’s governing body or sports administration role would be an advantage

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. football administration, sports management, business management, finance, event management)

Languages:

  • English / Proficient
  • Proficiency in French and/or German or another European language

Other requirements:

- Relocation to Switzerland/France is expected (please note that UEFA is unable to provide relocation support)

- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word

- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

- Passion for women's football and its continued development

- Good understanding of women's football and the European football landscape
