Main goal

The Accommodation Manager leads the planning, contracting and delivery of accommodation services in relation to UEFA national team competitions (NTC) and related events, with a primary focus on UEFA EURO 2028. As well as supervising the accommodation team, the Accommodation Manager serves as accommodation project lead for the events concerned.

Key responsibilities

Strategic planning and project leadership

  • Leading the accommodation strategy and delivery for teams, officials, VIP guests, partners and staff
  • Managing project plans, budgets, timelines and risks to ensure successful delivery
  • Leading and managing relationships with accommodation agencies, hotels, other suppliers and key internal stakeholders to ensure delivery in line with UEFA's objectives, operational requirements, service standards and project timelines

Hotel contracting and procurement

  • Leading hotel sourcing, procurement procedures and hotel selection for tournaments and related events
  • Negotiating and managing hotel contracts, rates, room inventories and reservation processes
  • Ensuring that accommodation solutions meet the needs of all stakeholder groups and are contractually compliant
  • Overseeing the performance of accommodation agencies, hotel and other suppliers to ensure that they fulfil their contractual obligations, provide the agreed service levels and meet all operational requirements

Operational management

  • Leading hotel inspections and operational readiness activities
  • Coordinating accommodation planning with the relevant teams working on different functional areas for events
  • Overseeing hotel operations, set-ups, operational documentation and service delivery standards
  • Managing the accommodation programme for officials, VIP guests, partners and staff

Event-time operations

  • Leading accommodation operations during tournaments and related events
  • Managing on-site accommodation teams and resolving operational challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • Monitoring service delivery, reporting to leadership and overseeing financial reconciliation

Leadership and team management

  • Leading, coaching and developing the EURO accommodation team
  • Managing resources and workloads across project phases and event operations
  • Supporting the recruitment, onboarding and development of event-time staff

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of experience in accommodation, hospitality, event management or a related field, preferably in the context of international sporting events
  • Proven experience of managing complex projects and accommodation operations in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Experience overseeing accommodation delivery through agencies, suppliers or hotel partners for large-scale sporting events or similarly complex environments

Languages:

  • English: Proficient

Other requirements:

  • Relocation to Switzerland/France is expected
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and solution-driven, with the ability to anticipate risks and resolve complex operational challenges
  • Willingness to travel within Europe/UEFA territory and work irregular hours during events
