The Construction Machinery Department in Italy is looking for a Service Area Manager to provide technical support to the Italian dealer network, reporting directly to the Service Manager.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening dealer performance, supporting after-sales activities, and contributing to the continuous improvement of Kubota’s Construction Machinery products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and support the implementation of Kubota’s after-sales service strategies across the dealer network.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to Italian dealers and their service teams on the Construction Machinery product range.
  • Act as the primary interface between dealers and Kubota factories for technical matters and escalations.
  • Visit assigned dealers regularly to assess service performance, share technical expertise, and provide on-site support when required.
  • Support dealers in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, both remotely and in the field.
  • Collect, analyze, and report product quality and reliability issues, preparing statistics and technical reports for internal stakeholders and factories.
  • Monitor service activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with other members of the Service Department, sharing knowledge, best practices, and field experience.
  • Deliver technical training sessions and support the development of dealer service staff competencies when needed.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

  • Technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, or Construction Equipment Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical and hydraulic systems; experience with earthmoving or construction machinery is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar after-sales, technical support, or service management role.
  • Proven experience in dealer support and dealer network management.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability and willingness to share technical knowledge; previous training delivery experience would be considered an asset.
  • Availability to travel frequently within Italy and occasionally across Europe, including extended travel periods when required.
